The Farming Update

Farming on Sapling just had a major boost. This update expands the entire farming system with more naturally generated crops, brand-new fertilizers, and improved watering tools. Everything now feels more integrated into the vanilla environment, making farming easier, faster, and more rewarding.

Just like in vanilla Minecraft, crops can now be found naturally while exploring the world. Seeds can also be obtained by breaking grass and ferns, and fertilizers are fully craftable in the workbench.

Crops

• Cabbage
• Corn
• Eggplant
• Garlic
• Grapes
• Hop
• Pepper
• Pineapple
• Pitaya (found on sand)
• Tomato

Fertilizers

• Speed Grow 1–3 — Speeds up crop growth, reducing the time needed to fully mature.
• Yield Increasing 1–3 — Boosts harvest yield, giving more crops per harvest.
• Retaining Soil 1–3 — Slows water consumption so soil stays hydrated longer.

• Increased range

How to Find the New Crops

• Explore the Overworld to discover naturally generated wild crops.
• Break short grass, tall grass, and ferns for a chance to obtain seeds — just like vanilla.
